Directed Research - The Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation

As cosmetic surgery becomes more widely accepted the need for clinically based scientific research grows. Through Directed Research projects, ASERF along with ASAPS determines which new procedures and products should be researched in an effort to keep aesthetic surgery safe, as well as take the hype out of products that just don’t work.

Through the years ASERF has funded the following Directed Research studies:
