Renowned Plastic Surgery Icon Dr. Robert Singer to Receive the ASERF 2019 Career Achievement Award Print

The Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF) is proud to announce that Dr. Robert Singer will be awarded the 2019 ASERF Career Achievement Award on Sunday, May 19 in New Orleans during The Aesthetic Meeting 2019.

Dr. Singer was not just a founding member of ASERF, he and Dr. Simon Fredricks were single-handedly responsible for having the vision to establish the Foundation and mapped out its mission, philosophy and organizational structure. He served as President of ASERF from 2001 to 2004 and is member of the exclusive President’s Circle of donors. Dr. Singer also served as President of The Aesthetic Society (1995 -1996) and is a long-time contributor to the strategic and educational efforts of both organizations.

An internationally renowned, board-certified plastic surgeon who authored approximately 350 scientific articles over the last 40 years, Dr. Singer is a sought-after lecturer to surgical organizations both domestically and abroad. He has served as Chief of Plastic Surgery and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla and has the position of Clinical Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at the University of California, San Diego.

Dr. Singer’s greatest impact to the specialty has been through his roles as educator, ambassador and mentor. Few surgeons are as respected and held in high esteem by their peers as this iconic surgeon.

To honor Dr. Singer and his distinguished legacy, please join us in making a tax-deductible contribution to ASERF which will be used to fund valuable aesthetic plastic surgery research. In the last two years alone, ASERF has given more than $700,000 in funds to back a multitude of studies that are aligned with its mission of “advancing the safety and effectiveness of aesthetic medicine.” This level of success that Dr. Singer envisioned over 25 years ago would not be possible without the generous support of our Members and donors. You too can make your gift at ASERF’s donation page and even add a personal message to Dr. Singer in the Comments field.

Donate today to support ASERF and show your gratitude for Dr. Singer’s invaluable contributions to aesthetic plastic surgery.
