ASERF has been acknowledging the hard work of those dedicated to aesthetic plastic surgery for years. Be it “Best Panel Moderator” or through a named award, ASERF is proud to give credit where it is due. Below are a list of those who have been honored for their service as well as the awards they have received.

Not all award winners are selected by a committee. Each year a handful or nominated by their peers for outstanding service. Learn about each award by viewing the links below.

The ASERF (Aesthetic Surgery Education & Research Foundation) Research Award is conferred in those extraordinary circumstances when the results of research projects have a profound and monumental effect upon the specialty of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the quality of service provided to our patients.

Walter Scott Brown Award Print E-mail

The Walter Scott Brown Award is presented to the individual(s) presenting the Best Videotape/Film at the ASAPS/ASERF annual meeting. The award consists of a check in the amount of $1,000 and an accompanying certificate. This award is made possible by a fund established by Walter Scott Brown, MD (1906 - 1985).

Special Merit Print E-mail

The Award of Special Merit commemorates the paramount contributions to the success and well being of the Society which in the judgment of the Society are above and beyond the expected and ordinary. The recipient need not be a member of the Society. This award was originally in the form of a document suitable for framing. In 1987, an engraved silver bowl was adopted as this award.
