The Hot Topics seminar is hosted biannually by the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF) and the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation (PSEF). This popular seminar is an opportunity for plastic surgeons to hear evaluations of experts regarding new procedures, devices and technologies in aesthetic surgery. Much of the information presented at Hot Topics is based on preliminary data. Many of the innovations discussed at this educational forum may not stand the test of time, while others will become well accepted into aesthetic surgery practice as further clinical and scientific data establish their safety and effectiveness.
